Refund Policy

We want you to be genuinely happy with AnswerSmith. This page sets out when you can get your money back and how to ask. It sits alongside our Terms of Service and forms part of your contract with us.

1. The 14-day free trial

Every new subscription starts with a 14-day free trial. Nothing is charged during the trial. If you cancel from your dashboard before day 15, you pay £0 — no refund needed because no money changed hands.

2. After the trial — first paid month

If, within 14 days of your first paid charge, you tell us AnswerSmith isn't working for your business, we will refund that first month in full. No interrogation, no “retention call”. Email hello@answersmith.co.uk from the address on your account.

3. Ongoing monthly charges

Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance. After the first paid month, monthly charges are non-refundable. You can cancel anytime from the billing portal in your dashboard — cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period and the AI stops answering calls after that date. You won't be billed again.

4. Service-level failures

If the AI is unavailable for more than 24 consecutive hours due to a fault on our side (not a third-party outage at Vapi, Twilio, Anthropic, Deepgram, Cal.com or your own carrier), we will credit your next invoice pro-rata for the affected days. Email us with the date and time and we'll sort it within 7 days.

5. What we don't refund

  • Months you used the Service even if you forgot to cancel — sorry, this is standard SaaS.
  • Charges from outages caused by your divert code being wrong, your mobile being out of credit, or your carrier blocking forwarding.
  • Charges where the AI made a mistake (got a detail wrong, booked the wrong slot). The AI is probabilistic — review every booking. We'll always investigate and fix root causes, but the £99 fee covers the service, not the outcome of any single call.
  • Fraudulent chargebacks. If you raise a chargeback without contacting us first, we will dispute it.

6. How to request a refund

Email hello@answersmith.co.uk from the address on your account. Include:

  • your business name,
  • the date of the charge you want refunded,
  • a one-line reason (so we can improve).

We respond within 2 business days. Approved refunds are processed back to your original payment method within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank.

7. Merchant of Record

AnswerSmith subscriptions are sold and billed through Paddle.com Market Limited, our Merchant of Record. Refunds are issued by Paddle on our instruction. Your card statement will show Paddle.net or PADDLE * ANSWERSMITH — that's us.

8. Statutory rights

This policy does not affect any statutory rights you have under UK consumer law, including the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
